JUNIOR DOCK HAND

June 17 - September 1, 2018 (Weekly employment possible during this time)   |  0930 to 1700 M-F & Sunday   |  0930 - 1730 Saturday

Applicant must be 15 years old before the first day of employment.  Job entails some lifting and other physical labor.  Applicant must have a positive attitude, be able to work well with others and take direction.  The Dock Hand is often the first person a visiting yachtsman may meet at the Yacht Club and it is therefore important to maintain a professional appearance and attitude throughout the day and summer.  Dock Hands report to the Dock Master. Hourly pay rate dependent on experience starts at $9.00 per hour.

WATERFRONT ASSISTANT - WA

June 17 - August 17, 2018 (weekly employment possible during this time)   |   0900 - 1200 M-F - teaching  |   1300 - 1700 M-F - dockhand

Applicant must be 15 years old before the first day of employment.  Job entails working with our Novice and Apprentice boating classes or performing Dockhand responsibilities. While teaching the WA is expected to be proactive teachers and will be assigned to be in boats with the students.  Safety of our students is paramount and WA's are expected to know first aid and be conscious of all safety protocols.  WA's will report directly to the Managing Instructor while working with the classes and to the Dock Master while working the docks.  Hourly pay rate dependent on experience starts at $9.00 per hour.


DOCK HAND

June 16 - September 4, 2018   |   0930 - 1800 M-F & Sunday    |    0930 - 1900 Saturday    |    5 day a week position

LAUNCH OPERATOR

June 16 - September 4, 2018   |   0930 - 1800 M-F & Sunday   |   0930 - 1900 Saturday   |   5 Day a week position

Applicant must be USCGA licensed for launch operation.  Launch Operator will work directly with the Dock Hand on duty and reports directly to the Dock Master. Applicant must have a strong work ethic and be willing and available for jobs around the Yacht Club when not shuttling passengers.   A professional appearance and demeanor are necessary throughout the day.  References required.  Weekly salary position, dependent on experience, beginning at $600 per week.


SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

June 15 - August 17, 2018   |   0900 - 1700 M-Th   |   0900 - 1230 F   |   Some weekend work necessary

Applicant must be US Sailing Level 1 and Red Cross First Aid/CPR certified (or equivalent). Candidates must be willing and able to teach all levels of boating/sailing - ages 6 to 17. Some candidates will also be asked to teach adult classes.  Applicants must have a strong work ethic and be prepared to teach a wide spectrum of boating and sailing skills. Senior Instructors report to the Waterfront Director and are managed by the Managing Instructor. References required. Weekly salary position, dependent on experience, beginning at $350 per week. Limited availability and limited weeks available.


DOCKMASTER

June 15 - September 4, 2018   |   0900 - 1730 - M-F and Sunday   |   0930 - 1830 Saturday

Applicant must be USCGA licensed for launch operation.  Launch Operator will work directly with the Dock Hand on duty and reports directly to the Commodore. Applicant must have a strong work ethic and be willing and available for jobs around the Yacht Club when not shuttling passengers.   Supervisory position and some accounting and financial analysis required. A professional appearance and demeanor are necessary throughout the day.  References required.  Weekly salary position, dependent on experience, beginning at $750 per week. Applicants not chosen for the Dock Master position may be offered a Dock Hand position.


MANAGING INSTRUCTOR

June 15 - August 17, 2018   |   0900 - 1700 M-Th   |   0900 - 1200 F   |   Some weekend work necessary

Applicant must be US Sailing Level 1 and Red Cross First Aid/CPR certified (or equivalent). Candidates must be willing and able to teach all levels of boating/sailing - ages 6 to 17. Responsible for supervising Senior Instructor staff, maintaining class rosters, coordinating weekly and daily activities and curriculums, uploading and entering tuition payments and program expenses.  This position report to the Junior Program Coordinator.  References required. Weekly salary position, dependent on experience, beginning at $750 per week. Applicants not chosen for the Managing Instructor position may be offered a Senior Instructor position.
